The road west of Polis winds through the coastal resort of Lakki or Latsi. It was once a small fishing village but has now grown quite large, with fairly substantial ribbon development along the road - mainly tourist boutiques, cafes and bars. A large car park shows it's a popular spot for tour buses to pull in on their way to and from the Baths of Aphrodite further up the road. Beaches spread east and west of the main harbour and are good sand with occasional pebble. The bay stretches endlessly westwards but those looking for quiet coves will be disappointed as the sands become increasing scruffy and exposed to the northern winds.
Palm trees line the back of the beach at Lakki, which is stonier on the eastern side of the harbour but has magnificent views of the hills on the Akamas peninsular
Attractive tavernas bacn onto the beach leading up to the central harbour at Latsi where a ship's hull sits on the quayside waiting for repairs
Shingle and stone increases on the eastern side of the harbour at Lakki, Pafos
The western side of the harbour at Lakki is much sandier and more sedate with beach beds, umbrellas and the usual tourist beach facilities
The mountains of Akamas provide a magnificent backdrop to the beach at Lakki
